Meet Me in 5 (Questions): Hana DeClerck

Welcome to Autonomic’s Meet Me in 5 (Questions) series where we feature the passionate individuals who inspire our work. We sat down with Hana DeClerck, Software Engineer, to learn about her experience at Autonomic and the interesting things she is working on.

1. What excites you about your work day?

I really look forward to working with my team! My teammates are positive and supportive of one another and are always teaching me new ways to approach challenges. Beyond that, we get to solve meaningful problems that directly impact our customers.

2. What inspired you to work in the automotive IoT space?

The automotive IoT space is rapidly growing and changing. The technological advancements you see within vehicles these days is incredible. We are seeing more phone to car functionality and customization. Autonomic maintains a unique approach in terms of handling and optimizing our data.

3. What is the most interesting problem you are trying to solve right now?

Currently, we are working on simplifying our process for granting access to groups of users. This will allow for more controlled, secure access. The work I’m doing involves not only back-end, but front-end work as well, which is new and exciting for me.

4. How would you describe the TMC to a 10 year old?

The TMC makes it possible for someone to access an insightful data layer of vehicle and device information. This data can be used by customers to build and enhance their products.

5. How would you describe the culture at Autonomic?

I would describe the culture at Autonomic as collaborative, transparent, and dynamic. At Autonomic, we are given the opportunity to grow and progress in our careers. I have learned so much in my time here and I am never working on the same thing for too long. There is also a sense of openness and honesty across our organization. I get to collaborate with my own team as well as other groups across the company on a daily basis, which is my favorite part.
