Oct 26, 2022

Welcome to Autonomic’s Meet Me in 5 (Questions) series where we feature the passionate individuals who inspire our work. We chatted with Jaymz Clancy, Senior Technical Support Engineer, to learn about his role and get his perspective on what it’s like to work at Autonomic.

1. What is your role at Autonomic and what does your day to day look like?

I am a Senior Technical Support Engineer and my role is to ensure our platform is operating efficiently and properly. The day to day for this role consists of fielding any concerns or questions our customer’s engineers may have with using the TMC and working with internal engineers to diagnose possible impact for affected services.

2. What is the most meaningful part of your role?

I get the opportunity to help improve the TMC. Working directly with the engineers who use our platform provides me an understanding of their workflow and how changes may impact their team(s). I apply that knowledge to help enhance our platform and improve the customer experience.

3. What’s your favorite memory of Autonomic?

Many of my team members are distributed across the globe, so I really enjoyed the time we spent together in the Detroit office. We bonded and improved our team camaraderie, all while enjoying some wonderful food in the Detroit area.

4. How would you describe the TMC in simple terms?

The TMC is a platform that allows your vehicle and applications (like those on your phone) to communicate, so you can accomplish certain daily functions with ease, such as locking and unlocking your vehicle from far away.

5. In your opinion, what makes Autonomic a unique place to work?

The people behind the TMC make Autonomic a special place to be. Everyone is happy to share knowledge and collaborate when problem solving. We are always growing and improving as a team, which ultimately contributes to the continued success of the TMC as a platform.
